Ingredients:
- 227 g spaghetti
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons grated cheese (Parmesan or Pecorino), plus extra for serving
- 3 strips of beef bacon, sliced thinly
Instructions:
1. Boil the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned.
3. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the liquid by half, stirring occasionally.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan with the cream sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. Stir in the grated cheese until melted and well combined.
5. Divide the creamy spaghetti carbonara between two plates. Add extra grated cheese on top before serving.
