Recipe of the Week - Classic Beef Stroganoff π¨βπ³
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Cooked egg noodles, for serving
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Directions:
1. Season the beef with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and brown the beef in batches. Remove from skillet and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sautΓ© the onion until softened. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are browned.
3. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Gradually stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened.
5. Return the beef to the skillet and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream.
7. Serve over cooked egg noodles, garnished with chopped parsley.
