Recipe of the week - Chicken Meatballs with Tomato Sauce πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

Ingredients:
-ground chicken
-breadcrumbs
-Parmesan cheese
-egg
-tomato sauce
-onion
-salt and pepper to taste
-olive oil
-bread or buns, for serving

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, onion, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
3. Heat a bit of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear the meatballs on all sides until they are browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
4. Once all the meatballs are browned, reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Stir gently to combine, making sure the meatballs are coated in the sauce.
6. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the meatballs simmer in the sauce for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
7. While the meatballs are simmering, slice the bread or buns and toast them if desired.
8. Once the meatballs are cooked through, remove the skillet from the heat.
9. To serve, place a few meatballs on each piece of bread or bun, spooning some of the tomato sauce over the top.
10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve immediately.
