Recipe of the week - Creamy Potato and Meat Gratin 👨‍🍳

•2 lbs of potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
•1 lb of ground beef
•1 onion, finely chopped
•2 cloves of garlic, minced
•1 cup of heavy cream
•1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
•1 tablespoon of olive oil
•Salt and pepper to taste

▫️Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
▫️In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sauté the onions until they are softened, then add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
▫️Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until it is browned, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes.
▫️Add salt and pepper to the beef and stir to combine.
▫️In a large baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes and beef mixture.
▫️In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm up the heavy cream and stir in half of the cheddar cheese.
▫️Pour the cream and cheese mixture over the potatoes and beef mixture in the baking dish.
▫️Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the gratin.
▫️Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
▫️Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
▫️Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
